Using their webapp you can send and receive SMS text messages worldwide using your iPod Touch. This is very simply, but incredibly clever stuff. You pay £7.99 or $16 per month for the mobile number, which acts just like any other mobile number for sending and receiving SMS text messages. It costs you 5p or 10c to send a text message to any other mobile phone, anywhere in the world. People can send you text and reply to your text. There is no charge to receive SMS texts from other mobile numbers. ipTexter also offer a Free SMS Text service for sending text to other iPod Touch owners worldwide.
