With due fanfare, Apple finally unveiled iTunes 9 at the Rock and Roll event yesterday. Its media management software is now available for download on PC and Mac. Apparently, the leaked pictures showing the social network integration feature finally saw daylight. The all new iTunes 9 comes with a cleaner polished look, navigational improvement, tweaked icons and a redesigned iTunes Store. Packing a number of new features, the iTunes 9 is touted to improve the music and movies experience. Apple CEO Steve Jobs heartily boasted about the new Genius Mixes feature that is like having a personal DJ which automatically generates 12 endless song mixes from the iTunes library. Genius Mixes feature also categorizes movies and the apps installed on the iPhone or the iPod Touch. New Home Sharing feature now allows copying music, movies and TV shows across from up to five authorized home computers. Possession of iTunes Music Store account is must for the Home Sharing. By sharing the iTunes libraries to the authorized computers, users can drag-n-drop content from one library to other or stream the content.
