I just noticed that there's a sneaky tweak to the iTunes App Store in iTunes 8.0.1 - They've removed the 'Free Apps' categories in the menu. Prior to the release of iTunes 8.0.1, you could find a link to the top free iPhone Apps in the left hand menu, but it's been removed in iTunes 8.0.1. Apple didn't mention that in the iTunes 8.0.1 release notes. I'm guessing that they're not happy with the amount of revenue that they're missing out on when we donwlaod a free app, or a free "lite" version of a premium app. Greedy gits! Does this mean they'll stop the Free iPhone Apps RSS feeds that I use on thumblounge.com/topapps/, appstorefeeds.com, iphonegamers.net and ipodtouchgamers.net ? I'll just have to wait and see.
