AdMob, the Mobile Advertising Network has launched a load of new features for iPhone Webapp Developers and Native App Developers looking to monetize their iPhone sites, webapps and native iPhone apps. Other than the fact that the sign up process is screwed up right now (you'll need to use Safari browser as it's bugged in MSIE 7), it certainly looks like AdMob have spent a lot of time and money developing the new features, but clearly not as much testing it out :) It's all looks very impressive, but at first glance I have a couple of concerns from an iPhone publisher/developer perspective. 1. I don't have absolute control over which ad's are shown on my sites/webapps: With the old AdMob system I could disable the 'Auto-Approve Ads' option so that I could approve or reject specific ads from showing on my iPhone Sites/Webapps. I'm not seeing this fuction in the new iPhone tools. Well that's it for now. I'm taking a friend to get his iPhone. I'll be writing more about my experiences with the new AdMob iPhone Tools, when I get chance to dig deeper.
