I thought I'd take it a step further by getting my hands on the cable that allows you to play the TV shows stored on your iPod Touch and iPhone, on your TV. So is it as simple as buying a cable and plugging one end in to your iPod Touch or iPhone and the other in to your TV? No! I bought the Component AV Cable from Comet for £34.99. As you can see from the photo, there's a lot of cables! Plugging it in to the iPod Touch or iPhone is no problem, but the other end presents some problems. The connectors used at the other end aren't for use in your TV at all. The connectors used are coloured blue, green and red. Not the standard sockets found in my 18 month old TV. Bugger! Turns out that I bought an 'Component AV Cable'. Luckily, my wife bought me a swanky Surround Sound system a couple of years ago that has all the right connections, but alas I still can't get the damn thing to work. Any of you managed to get them to work?
